Leicester City could have a new star on their hands after 15-year-old youngster Jeremy Monga was named amongst the substitutes for the FA Cup clash against Manchester United.
Ruud van Nistelrooy confirmed that Monga would be in the squad, however, the other youth member Jake Evans wasn’t named on the subs bench.
If he is to come on, Monga will become one of Leicester’s youngest players ever in another proud moment for the Foxes academy.
It’s uncharted territory for Van Nistelrooy too, who returns to Old Trafford for the first time as an opposition player/manager.
Van Nistelrooy and Ruben Amorim have had similar starts to their tenures and both have their eye on developing young talent.
Monga could be the next one and the Leicester boss explained why the youngster had been included.

Ruud van Nistelrooy explains Jeremy Monga selection decision
There will be a lot of people hoping they can see their first glimpse of Monga on the senior stage.
After starting out with the Under-18s, the winger was fast-tracked into the Under-21s team, where he has continued to impress.
As a reward, the Leicester boss has allowed him to train with the first team and believes that he fully deserves his chance.
Speaking to ITV, he said: “We feel Jeremy is ready for this and of course there’s still a long way to go. We have evaluated his progress and, from last week onwards, he will be part of regular first-team training until the end of the season.
“Physically he is very strong and mature already at this age. He deserved this opportunity and we need wingers.”
“It’s clear he is a big talent, but we cannot go too quickly with a young boy like that.”
Jeremy Monga cannot be with Leicester first-team squad due to one issue
Although this is a proud moment for Monga and Leicester City, it is worth remembering just how young he is.
Due to being 15, Monga isn’t actually allowed to get changed with the first-team squad due to safeguarding concerns.
The young Leicester star is a big talent and one that many will be keeping eyes on for the future.
