Leicester City are hosted by Birmingham City in the Championship on Monday afternoon.
Leicester City make the trip to St Andrew’s for the Monday night kick-off in the Championship.
It promises to be another tough away outing for the Foxes, especially with Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham City going into this game on the back of a much-needed win in midweek.
Blues won 1-0 away at Cardiff City but remain in 16th place of the table after taking just two wins from the opening 10 games of the Rooney era.
Leicester City meanwhile retain their place at the top after a hard-fought win over Millwall in midweek, though expect Enzo Maresca to be keeping a close eye on Ipswich Town’s derby clash vs Norwich City this lunch time.
David Prutton predicts Leicester City win
It’s hard to predict anything other than a Leicester City win this season.
The Foxes have won their last three now after a mini blip in for, going unbeaten in five as well, whereas Birmingham City have been overall very poor under Rooney.
Writing for Sky Sports, pundit David Prutton predicted a 2-0 win for the Foxes on Monday, adding:
“That was a massive win for Wayne Rooney and Birmingham at Cardiff. Just his second since taking charge, and easily their most impressive of the two. Can that kickstart their season?
“The problem is, Leicester are their next opponents. They look back on song after their mini dip in form, and it will take a lot for the Blues to stop them. I do not feel they will. Foxes win.”

Will it be a routine win for Enzo Maresca’s side?
Birmingham City are certainly there for the taking.
As mentioned, they’ve been poor under Rooney who is constantly changing shape and XIs in a bid to find out his best side.
And whilst Blues perhaps looked as good as they have under their new boss last time out, they might not be any match for Leicester who are playing efficiently and dominantly once again.
The Foxes have the best away record in the league and have only conceded eight on the road, scoring 21 times, so this 2-0 score-line prediction certainly fits the trend of Leicester’s away record so far this season.
Maresca might not know what to fully expect on Monday night, but he’ll know that if his team play at their best, they’ll leave St Andrew’s with all three points.
Kick off is at 8pm and the game will be shown live on Sky Sports.
