Facundo Buonanotte has been a standout performer for Leicester City since his loan move from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Leicester City should be thrilled with how Facundo Buonanotte has fared since moving to the King Power Stadium.
The Argentine has provided the bulk of the Foxes’ attacking threat this season and is already sitting on three goals and two assists in the Premier League.
Troy Deeney was blown away by Buonanotte after Leicester came from 2-0 down to beat relegation rivals Southampton recently.
The South American’s quick feet and speed make him a joy to watch and have earned him comparisons to the world’s greatest player.
Buonanotte responded to comparisons with Lionel Messi in a recent interview and while he remained humble, the fact he is even being compared to his fellow countryman shows what a promising young talent he is.
As a result, it would be a major blow if Steve Cooper was forced to make do without the Brighton loanee at any point this season.

Steve Cooper must start Facundo Buonanotte vs Manchester United
Leicester’s next Premier League fixture sees them face off with Manchester United on Saturday.
Ahead of the game, Buonanotte is walking a suspension tightrope. The Argentine has already accumulated four yellow cards in the league this term.
As a result, another booking against the Red Devils means Buonanotte will be suspended for Leicester’s first game back after the international break.
However, despite risking suspension, Cooper must start Buonanotte against Man Utd. This is because even if he does pick up a yellow at the weekend, he will only miss a game against Chelsea.
The Blues are fourth in the Premier League right now and are likely to beat Leicester even if Buonanotte is fit for that game.
But should the teenager be rested against United and then start against Chelsea, he risks being suspended for a clash with Brentford at the end of November.
Given Brentford, on paper, is a much more winnable game, Leicester would benefit more from having Buonanotte miss out against Chelsea, having his yellow card tally wiped for ‘easier’ matches on the horizon.

Leicester City face Jordan Ayew decision ahead of Manchester United
Buonanotte is not the only Leicester ace walking a suspension tightrope ahead of Manchester United.
Jordan Ayew is also on four yellow cards in the Premier League this term, meaning he to is now at risk of missing an upcoming game.
Given Ayew’s importance to the Foxes this season, it is probably worth him starting against Man Utd as well.
However, Cooper may not wish to have two attackers missing at once, so a decision on the former Crystal Palace man may prove tricky to make.
