Jamie Vardy scored the first goal in Leicester’s remarkable win against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Vardy trolled Tottenham fans with his celebration for the Foxes, pointing to the Premier League badge to remind Spurs supporters that he has in fact won more league titles than they have in classic Jamie fashion.

The win from Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side drags the Foxes from the relegation zone, just seven points off Ange Postecoglou’s in 15th.

Spurs fans have a right to be furious, but a lot of their anger was directed at Vardy – who clearly wound them up on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs fans not happy with Jamie Vardy

Tottenham fans, obviously, weren’t happy with Vardy’s trolling, as they expressed on X.

One writes: ‘An utterly horrible human, at a horrible football club.’

‘Classic Vardy! Always ready to wind up the opposition, and showing off the Premier League badge just adds to the drama. He certainly knows how to rile up the fans!’ another adds.

‘I hate everything about Jamie Vardy’ and ‘I HATE VARDY, rinse repeat this statement,’ two more put.

Two questions about why Vardy hates Spurs: ‘Why does Vardy hate us so much’ and ‘Why does this Vardy guy love winding us up? What has spurs ever done to him?’

One sums up his feelings about the Leicester talisman in one perfect statement: ‘Vardy – dear god I hate him.’

Vardy wasn’t Leicester’s top performer against Spurs, but he was certainly one of the heroes – which in contrast many loved.

Leicester fans and neutrals loved Vardy’s celebration

Foxes fans and football fans alike have obviously taken a different view. They all adored Vardy’s antics.

One writes ‘I love Jamie Vardy more than words can convey.’

Another adds: ‘Vardy is such a troll. The second time he’s done that against Spurs. I kind of love it.’

A third writes: ‘Wild celebrations. Shows Tottenham who’s got the Premier League winner medal. Jamie Vardy is a Premier League Legend.’

‘Jamie Vardy is a Premier League and Leicester legend. 38 and still banging in goals and running pass defenders. A true non-league to Premier League fairy-tale’, another puts.

Ange Postecoglou is now in serious trouble at Spurs, but Leicester, Vardy and Van Nistelrooy won’t care. What a win.
