Leicester City take on Leeds United this Friday in an early-season game with lots of importance, here is our predicted XI.
Leicester City could move 17 points clear of third-placed Leeds United on Friday with a win.
A win would only add to the feeling that Enzo Maresca’s side is the best team in the division’s history.
Leeds are probably the toughest test that Leicester will face, so beating them would probably lead to even further acceptance that they’re title-bound.
On the other hand though, if Leeds can win, they reduce the gap to 11 points and potentially reignite the league – Ipswich would be particularly grateful.
So how will Leicester line up? Here is what we think…
Leicester Predicted XI v Leeds
So for such a huge game, Maresca should and probably will go strong which should see Mads Hermansen in goal. The young Dane has gone from strength to strength this season.
In defence, Ricardo Pereira and James Justin get the nod at right and left-back with Callum Doyle unlucky to miss out.
In centre-back, Conor Coady should continue alongside Jannick Vestergaard in the Foxes’ strongest partnership of late.
In midfield a trio of Cesare Casadei, the brilliant Harry Winks and then David Prutton’s favourite Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
On the right, the returning Yunus Akgun should start, as he looks to set about justifying his £10k-per-week wage.
On the left Stephy Mavididi continues with Kelechi Iheanacho up front replacing Jamie Vardy who struggled last week.
