The possibility of Leicester City selling left-back Victor Kristiansen has been discussed by fans.

Victor Kristiansen joined Leicester City in January 2023 from FC Copenhagen for around £17m.

The defender played 12 Premier League games during his first half-season at the King Power Stadium when the Foxes were relegated.

He was then loaned to Bologna for the 2023/24 campaign, for whom he managed to provide four assists in 34 matches across all competitions.

Following their return to the Premier League, Leicester have decided to once again integrate Kristiansen back into the starting line-up.

The full-back has featured in 22 league matches so far this term, providing one assist.

Kristiansen is Leicester’s most expensive January signing and one of their bigger transfers in general but he’s largely struggled during his time in England.

Leicester City fans on selling Victor Kristiansen

Leicester have one of the worst defensive records in the Premier League this term and while he’s not completely to blame, the Dane has not been great.

Now, Foxes fans have been discussing the potential sale of the 22-year-old and their stance is mixed.

One fan wrote: “Can’t imagine there’s going to be a queue of clubs after him. Would do a job in the Championship.”

A second added: “Just like Faes was in our Championship season he’d be one of the best left-backs in the league if we go down but if we somehow avoid relegation I’d sign a starter left-back and keep Kristiansen as backup, he’s nowhere near as bad as everyone thinks.

“Keep will be great in championship,” another Leicester fan claimed.

While some fans are for the defender staying put, however, there were several who clearly want him gone.

“Sell worst left-back we’ve had absolutely useless!” One fan exclaimed.

Another simply wrote: “Sell,” and a third Foxes fan added: “Sell depending on how much we can get for him.”

A fourth supporter went as far as to write: “Sell the whole back 4 and start again.”

Victor Kristiansen is worse in Premier League in key area

Kristiansen remains under contract at Leicester until 2027 so if he does move in the summer, they should get a decent fee for him.

However, as one fan mentioned above, it does seem unlikely there will be a lot of clubs interested in his services.

ESPN published an interesting report this week that claimed that Kristiansen is the worst passer under pressure across the entire Premier League this term.

Meanwhile, James Justin is the worst crosser in the English top flight across 2024/25 to date.
