Leicester City face Newcastle United tonight in what is a must-win Premier League game for the Foxes.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side sit 15 points off Wolves in the final safe spot in the English top-flight with time quickly running out for Leicester to secure the results needed to stay in the Premier League, with Southampton already confirmed for relegation.
With Russell Martin linked with the Leicester job over the weekend, time is also running out for Van Nistelrooy to get Leicester supporters on his side with the Dutch manager’s reign at the King Power Stadium so far being a total disaster.
And former Premier League midfielder Danny Murphy has now pinned Leicester’s bad run of form in recent weeks onto one person.

Ruud van Nistelrooy to blame for Leicester City’s woeful form
Speaking on TalkSport, the pundit named Van Nistelrooy as the main reason behind Leicester’s form, with Murphy saying about the Foxes: “You have to change something, be more cavalier, take more risks, you have to blame the coach.”
With Leicester and Van Nistelrooy on course to make history for all the wrong reasons if the East Midlands side lose to Newcastle tonight and fail to score, things have never looked more grim for the 2015/16 Premier League winners.
And Van Nistelrooy has a big part to play in Leicester’s incredible fall from grace this season, with the Dutchman simply a bad fit at the King Power Stadium despite arriving with a big reputation having managed PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United in the interim.
Indeed, Leicester have made misstep after misstep in the last two years, and the appointment of Van Nistelrooy is one that has set the Foxes back even further on their internal timeframe, where City will want to be back competing with the best of the best in the Premier League.
Leicester know they need to move on from Ruud van Nistelrooy this summer
Even if Leicester end the Premier League season on a high note once relegation is confirmed, Van Nistelrooy has shown that he was the wrong choice of manager even with an impressive CV and a big reputation in the game.
And heading into the summer, Leicester know they need to find the perfect manager to replace Van Nistelrooy and to identify a coach who can stick around at the King Power Stadium for the long-term.
The Leicester project can become an exciting one again if the right moves are made behind the scenes, yet as fans have seen this season, the board seem incapable of doing what’s right for the club despite the glaring issues.
