Exclusive with Graeme Bailey
An update on the future of Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has emerged.
Leicester are in a rut right now having lost 13 of their last 14 Premier League games and are 19th in the table.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 17 | 29 | 7 | 5 | 17 | 40 | 58 | -18 | 26 | |
| 18 | 29 | 3 | 8 | 18 | 28 | 62 | -34 | 17 | |
| 19 | 29 | 4 | 5 | 20 | 25 | 65 | -40 | 17 | |
| 20 | 29 | 2 | 3 | 24 | 21 | 70 | -49 | 9 |
To add to their woes, Leicester made unwanted history twice after their loss against Manchester United after becoming the first top flight team to lose seven home games in a row without scoring, as well as concede 1000 Premier League goals quicker than anyone else.
Pressure is building on Van Nistelrooy – although the blame can’t lie solely with him.
With questions marks over his future for some weeks now, Leicester City News can exclusively reveal what will happen with the Leicester manager.

Ruud van Nistelrooy unlikely to be sacked as Leicester manager
The Foxes will need a miracle to stay in the some flight and in some cases, should already be preparing for life back in the Championship.
Having said that though, finances are an issue for Leicester and the owners were always unlikely to sack Van Nistelrooy due to that.
However, expert journalist Graeme Bailey has revealed that nothing is concrete and it’s all down to whether the Dutchman thinks he can look over the broken promises made to him earlier in his reign.
“Van Nistelrooy is in a tough position,” says Bailey. “He believes he was promised things upon his arrival that have not been delivered.
I don’t believe a decision has yet been made, but does he trust them to back him this summer? I’m not sure he does.”
| Games in charge | Won | Drawn | Lost |
| 20 | 4 | 2 | 14 |
Bailey added that Leicester are likely to have some money to spend in the second tier, but could equally fall foul of punishment like Sheffield United.
He said: “Leicester will have some sort of budget, which in comparison to much of the Championship could look pretty healthy”

Leicester would be an attractive job for a new manager
Of course, we can’t rule out the possibility of Van Nistelrooy walking out on his own accord.
The 48-year-old has history from his time at PSV Eindhoven and if it is the case, then the Foxes will be looking for a fourth manager in two years.
Despite the off-pitch struggles, Bailey believes that if they are on the hunt for a replacement, they can still bring in a high-profile name.
Bailey stated: “If Ruud should leave, they won’t struggle for high end candidates. If and when they are relegated, it will be one of the most in-demand jobs in the league.”
