Four defeats in a row have seen the Foxes slide into the bottom three and at the time of writing, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men are 19th in the table.

Only two points separate Leicester and 17th-placed Wolves as it stands and having reached the halfway point, there is plenty of time to turn it around.
Some favourable fixtures await on the horizon for the Foxes, who are expected to be busy in the January transfer window, but how do they compare to their fellow Premier League strugglers?

15th – Crystal Palace’s next five fixtures
Chelsea (H)
Stockport County (FA Cup, H)
Leicester City (A)
West Ham United (A)
Brentford (H)
Crystal Palace are on a good run of form of late that has seen them lose just one of their last eight games.
Oliver Glasner’s men will fancy their chances over the course of the next five games, which includes a trip to the King Power Stadium.
Back-to-back away games against sides near them in the table will be difficult but end the month against a Brentford side still waiting for a top flight win away from home.
16th – Everton’s next five fixtures
Bournemouth (A)
Peterborough United (FA Cup, H)
Aston Villa (H)
Tottenham Hotspur (H)
Brighton & Hove Albion (A)
With Everton, you honestly don’t know what team you’re going to get.
The Toffees are rivalling Leicester for Sean Longstaff’s signature and are also battling to avoid the drop.
Sean Dyche’s side have a tough fixture list coming up against four very in-form sides and one struggling in Tottenham.
This is a side that shouldn’t be out of the Foxes’ reach and a good run of results could see them soon catch up to them.

17th – Wolves’ next five fixtures
Nottingham Forest (H)
Bristol City (FA Cup, A)
Newcastle United (A)
Chelsea (A)
Arsenal (H)
Wolves have started strongly under Vitor Pereira with two wins and a draw but now face an incredibly tough month.
Four Premier League sides all challenging for the European spots await the West Midlanders and considering Leicester are only two points off them, they must be prepared to take advantage.
18th – Ipswich Town’s next five fixtures
Fulham (A)
Bristol Rovers (FA Cup, H)
Brighton & Hove Albion (H)
Manchester City (H)
Liverpool (A)
Ipswich Town looked dead and buried as recently as two weeks ago but some impressive results, including a win against Chelsea, have put them right back into the conversation.
Their next five games look to be the toughest of the lot however, with a trip to the impressive Fulham side as well as a daunting away trip to Anfield to end the month.

19th – Leicester City’s next five fixtures
Aston Villa (A)
QPR (FA Cup, H)
Crystal Palace (H)
Fulham (H)
Tottenham Hotspur (A)
Van Nistelrooy’s side have a mixed bag of fixtures for the month of January, starting off with a tough trip away to Aston Villa.
The two home games are the ones Leicester will certainly eye as ones they can take maximum points from – even if Palace and Fulham are in good runs of form.
An away trip to Spurs would normally be considered as one where a win is unlikely but given their patchy form, a win isn’t out of the question.
20th – Southampton’s next five fixtures
Brentford (H)
Swansea City (FA Cup, H)
Manchester United (A)
Nottingham Forest (A)
Newcastle United (H)
In all honesty it feels as if Southampton are a lost cause already. Despite sacking Russell Martin and replacing him with Ivan Juric, the Saints are still yet to win a game and are cast adrift at the bottom with just six points to their name.
Another tough set of games await for them and a new manager could bring an upturn in results, but, it feels like the Foxes don’t need to be too concerned by them.
