Leicester City’s U21s came out on top against Newcastle United in a remarkable Premier League 2 match on Friday.
While Leicester City are struggling in the Premier League this season, the future is looking bright at the King Power Stadium.
Jeremy Monga was named on the bench against Manchester United in the FA Cup last weekend despite only being 15 years of age.
He did not make it into the pitch for his debut but the attacking midfielder looks set for a very bright future in the game.
Meanwhile, though Monga has been stealing the headlines, Jake Evans is another name to emerge from Leicester’s youth ranks of late and was in top form this weekend.

Jake Evans nets hat-trick for Leicester City U21s vs Newcastle United
The Foxes’ U21s have been on a bit of a role recently, which has included beating Coventry City in the Premier League Cup and hammering Norwich City in the league.
On Friday, meanwhile, they made the trip up north to take on Newcastle United in a Premier League 2 fixture.
It was a remarkable showing from Leicester who, when all was said and done, came out as 6-3 winners on the night.
Evans started off the right of the front line and managed to net himself a hat-trick while Sammy Braybrooke, Louis Page, and Tommy Neale were the Midlands outfit’s other goalscorers.
They now sit 11th in the Premier League 2 table, one point adrift of Arsenal.

What Ruud van Nistelrooy has said about Jake Evans
While he’s still only 17, it seems very likely that Evans will make his senior debut at some point this season.
Leicester are very short of quality attacking options this term, especially with Abdul Fatawu injured, and the teenager could be an excellent option off the bench.
Ruud van Nistelrooy commented on Evans earlier this week, confirming both he and Monga have been involved in senior training.
“They are in contention because they’re part of first-team training. Not every day because of school! They came in because of injuries and those players are back, but of course they’re still in contention.”
