Leicester City boss, Enzo Maresca showed his gratitude to the fans and praised his team’s performance after a win over Norwich City.

Both sides came into the match with just one loss in their past five games, being separated by just one league position.

A Kelechi Iheanacho penalty, on the stroke of halftime, put the Foxes in front.

Stephy Mavididi was fouled and the spot kick was cooly converted by the number 14.

Norwich had their chances throughout the game but weren’t able to convert one of their 15 shots throughout the game.

Kasey McAteer secured the three points, three minutes from the end. He scored his fourth goal of the season.

Great work by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who laid the ball on a plate for the English winger and he couldn’t miss.

What has Enzo Maresca said?

The Italian boss was visibly delighted with the result.

When asked about his feelings, he said: “I’m happy, very pleased.

“It was a tricky game. They score many goals and create many chances every game.”

That being said, the Canaries weren’t able to convert and score a goal on the night. This allowed the Foxes to keep a fourth clean sheet of the season.

When asked about his side’s performance, he said: “I think, especially in the first half, we were brilliant in the way we were working.

“In the second half, we dropped a little bit, but this is normal. The opponent plays and they want the same as us, to win the game.”

Maresca was understanding of that fact and didn’t sway his opinion of the game.

Continuing on, he said: “I’m very happy with some of the moments on the ball. We were working very well against a team that was marking us man to man, which is never easy.”

Another good team in Bristol City travel to the King Power next but the Foxes will look to continue their way of playing further.
