Leicester City’s relegation six-pointer against Everton takes centre stage on Saturday afternoon as Ruud van Nistelrooy goes in search of another three points.

The Premier League was stunned after Leicester clinched a 2-1 victory over Tottenham last Sunday, seeing them climb out of the relegation zone.

Ruud van Nistelrooy would have been relieved to watch his side taste all three points for the first time since mid-December, ironically his debut in the dugout against West Ham.

This week, supporters will have hoped to have seen some signings join the Leicester first-team squad, with Woyo Coulibaly still their only addition this month.

Unfortunately, no new players are close to joining the relegation battlers, although Van Nistelrooy has claimed Leicester are working on new signings.

While the Dutchman is hopeful of completing some shrewd business ahead of Monday’s deadline, he’s also welcomed some youngsters into the fold.

Jake Evans and Jeremy Monga spotted in first-team training

Academy stars Jake Evans and Jeremy Monga have been spotted training with the first team ahead of their clash against Everton.

Evans is a 17-year-old winger who has taken the under-18 Premier League by storm this term, netting six goals in 10 appearances.

The teenager has also flourished in the FA Youth Cup, writing his name in lights with a brace against Chelsea in December.

Evans, who could be a direct replacement for Tom Cannon, is highly rated by those at Leicester and has been spotted training with the senior side previously alongside Monga.

The 15-year-old has been plying his trade against players six years his senior in the under-21s and has still turned his opponents inside out with trickery and flair.

Monga scored and assisted in a Premier League 2 fixture against Aston Villa in November, with the electric winger making a name for himself.

Van Nistelrooy has hinted at first-team football for Monga in the future, having already established himself as the brightest talent coming through the academy and garnering interest from some big clubs.

Monga is wanted by Man City and Chelsea

In recent months, Monga has been on the radar of both Chelsea and Manchester City, who see the youngster as one of the best talents his age in the world.

City and Chelsea both have habits of luring precocious talents from smaller clubs but Van Nistelrooy wants to keep Monga.

That being said, it would be interesting to see if the Premier League giants or some other powerhouse come in with a bid for the teenage whiz.
