An update has been provided on the availability of three Leicester City players after they missed Friday’s FA Cup defeat.

Three Leicester players missed out on the FA Cup Fourth Round tie against Manchester United in which the Foxes were beaten 2-1 by United.

Van Nistelrooy named a strong Leicester starting XI that included the return of Wilfred Ndidi.

Youngsters Jeremy Monga and Jake Evans were in the squad too but there were three big absentees on the night.

Jannik Vestergaard, Victor Kristiansen and Jamie Vardy were all missing from the team entirely and Van Nistelrooy explained why they were missing.

Ruud van Nistelrooy provides injury update on Leicester trio

Before the Old Trafford loss, the Leicester boss revealed that the trio were all suffering from “light injuries”.

Thankfully, none are expected to be out long term and the Foxes are set to welcome back Vestergaard, Kristiansen and Vardy.

Whilst Kristiansen and Vardy can almost certainly expect to return to the starting XI, Vestergaard may have to settle for a place on the bench after Caleb Okoli impressed at Man United.

If they are all available that would leave just Ricardo Pereira and Abdul Fatawu as the only long-term absentees.

Arsenal injury news: Three players set to miss Leicester clash, but Ben White returns

It isn’t just Leicester who are suffering from injury problems, with opponents Arsenal set to be without three attacking players.

Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka are all major doubts for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Martinelli picked up a hamstring knock in the Carabao Cup defeat against Newcastle United.

However, in more positive news, defender Ben White is back in contention for Arsenal having been out of action since November due to a knee injury.
