Leicester City have confirmed that Steve Cooper has been sacked as their first-team coach.
Cooper becomes the second Premier League managerial dismissal in the 24/25 season, after just 15 games in charge in charge at the helm of the Foxes.
The Foxes defeat to Chelsea appeared to be the nail in the coffin for Leicester’s board. It’s almost poetic how former boss Enzo Maresca was ultimately the one to seal Cooper’s fate.
Check out all the details of Cooper’s dismissal below.

Leicester City sack Steve Cooper
Leicester officially confirmed Cooper’s departure with immediate effect on Sunday afternoon.
They wrote: ‘Leicester City Football Club has parted company with Steve Cooper, who leaves his position as First Team Manager with immediate effect.’
‘Assistant Manager Alan Tate and First Team Coach and Analyst Steve Rands have also left the Club. Steve, Alan and Steve depart with our thanks for their contribution during their time with the Club and with our best wishes for the future.’
‘Men’s First Team training will be overseen by First Team Coach Ben Dawson, supported by coaches Danny Alcock and Andy Hughes, as the Club begins the process of appointing a new manager, which we hope to conclude as soon as possible.’
Whilst Leicester remain managerless, the side will be overseen by Ben Dawson for first-team training. It appears the Foxes are hoping to have a new manager in by the time of next week’s Brentford fixture.

Who could be the next Leicester manager?
The question on everyone’s lips – who is next for Leicester?
Ruud van Nisteltrooy is available after a successful spell as Manchester United’s interim boss. He’s definitely a front-runner straight away.
Former Brighton and Chelsea boss Graeme Potter is also available. He’s been out of a job for some time now and could definitely return for the Foxes.
Elsewhere, David Moyes is also a shout, alongside Carlos Corberan, Rob Edwards and Oscar Garcia.
Time will tell as to who takes over at the King Power Stadium – but for now, it’s goodbye to Cooper.
