Leicester City predicted XI, team and injury news v Millwall as two stars return

Leicester City host Millwall in the Championship this evening as Enzo Maresca’s side aim to make it four wins in their last five matches. Here’s our predicted XI for the fixture.

Leicester watched Ipswich Town move to the top of the table last night after beating Watford 2-1 and applied pressure onto the Foxes in the process.

Enzo Maresca’s troops have had to contend with multiple injury problems ahead of this contest.

A flurry of surprise absentees saw six senior players miss the 4-0 thrashing of Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Leicester are expected to welcome back two of those absentees as Ricardo Pereira will be available after serving a suspension while winger Yunus Akgun could be ready again after a minor injury issue.

The other three absentees, including Jamie Vardy (knee), Kasey McAteer (hamstring) and Kelechi Iheanacho are doubtful ahead of this fixture.

Here is our predicted XI for this crucial clash at both ends of the table…

Leicester City predicted XI vs Millwall…

Goalkeeper Mads Hermansen has been incredible since arriving at the King Power this season. He’s only watched 12 goals go past him and is never at risk of being dropped.

Hamza Choudhury filled in for Pereira in the victory over Plymouth, however, the Portuguese star is expected to wrestle back his spot in the team following suspension.

At the heart of the Foxes defence, Conor Coady could partner the Danish goliath, Jannik Vestegaard. The Englishman has played ninety minutes in each of the last three midweek fixtures and deserves an opportunity to impress ahead of Wout Faes tonight.

James Justin has turned out on 15 occasions in the Championship this season and the flying full-back will continue rampaging up and down the left flank for Maresca.

Leicester’s impressive midfield of Wilfried Ndidi, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Harry Winks will unlikely get broken up for this clash.

With Ndidi sweeping up possession in front of the defence while Winks and Dewsbury-Hall flank either side, Millwall will struggle to win the midfield battle against such a talented trio.

Abdul Fatawu, who was remarkable against Plymouth, will continue his place on the right flank and the Ghanian will be out to terrorise the Lions.

And with Stephy Mavididi on the other side, the visitors have their work cut out to prevent that duo from having a positive say on the contest.

Up front, Patson Daka should continue leading the line. He scored his first goal since March on Saturday and that should have been enough to prevent Tom Cannon from taking his place.

Leicester predicted XI: Hermansen, Pereira, Vestegaard, Coady, Justin; Ndidi, Winks, Dewsbury-Hall, Fatawu, Mavididi, Daka
