Leicester City have been handed a blow after one of their stars was sent home from international duty early.
The Foxes have several stars playing international fixtures, with some already playing for their countries.
Jannik Vestergaard starred for Denmark and young midfielder Bilal El Khannouss netted the winner for Morocco too.
It was all going so well until news of one player’s departure emerged ahead of his side’s next fixture.
Patson Daka sent home ahead of Zambia’s friendly against Russia
Unfortunately for Leicester and Zambia, the player in question withdrawing from the squad is Patson Daka.
A report from PanAfrica revealed that Daka, along with several others, hadn’t been selected by Zambian national team coach Avram Grant for their game against Russia on Tuesday 21 March.
Grant appears to have selected a squad largely made up of domestic-based talent with names from some European clubs also included, confirming that some have been left out due to injury and work permit concerns.
It’s unclear which one applies to Daka, with Grant not specifically naming names.
Patson Daka almost certain to leave Leicester this summer
The summer transfer window is one that’s guaranteed to see a major overhaul at the King Power Stadium.
Daka is one of those tipped to leave Leicester and it appears for both, a fresh start is needed.

The forward has scored once since Ruud van Nistelrooy arrived and despite starting the previous two games, has failed to make an impact of any sorts.
Clubs from around Europe are likely to hold an interest in him, especially if they believe that they can get the version of Daka that was so impressive at Red Bull Salzburg. Either way, it’s hard to see him playing for the Foxes next season.
