A former Leicester City title winner once turned to UFC star Paddy Pimblett as he looked for a trainer following boxing debut.
Several stars from the iconic 2015/16 Premier League title-winning season have gone to do various things in their career.
Some of them have gone on to do punditry work, like Marc Albrighton, or are still involved via playing or managing.
For Danny Simpson however, he turned to boxing and fought against YouTube sensation Danny Aarons.
Their fight ended in a draw, but ahead of the rematch, Simpson announced he had joined forces with UFC star Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett.

Simpson will be known for his Premier League title win with the Foxes more, but delved into the world of influencer boxing in 2024.
Thankfully the retired footballer didn’t lose after offering his winners’ medal to Aarons if the internet star could beat him.
Meanwhile, Pimblett is one of the UFC’s biggest names and while on a night out in 2024, was confirmed as Simpson’s new training partner.
“Meet my new training partner,” he wrote on Instagram.

Simpson appeared to enjoy his time in the ring and has been posting regular updates of him keeping fit and refining his boxing technique on social media.
The former defender has made no secret of wanting to arrange a second fight and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of organising a rematch with Aarons.
After his first fight, he said: “I’m obviously going to say that I thought I nicked it. This week has been one of the craziest weeks of my life.
“We said we were going to have fun in here and I think we did. I think Danny knows I tried to jump in last minute and tried to do everything I could in the five weeks. Maybe I’ll have the chance to have a full camp and I’d love to come back and have another go.”
