Wout Faes has seen some negative reviews following Belgium’s games against Estonia and Azerbaijan, where he played full 90s in both.
Despite being a regular under new manager, Domenico Tedesco, Faes is yet to convince the press of his ability with recent performances.
The Belgian has made seven international appearances across his career.
Across the EURO 2024 qualification process, Faes has played every minute in each group F game for the Red Devils.
With four clean sheets out of a possible five in the groups is a positive record.
So far this season, Faes has been praised despite only keeping one clean sheet for Leicester in the Championship.

What has been said about Wout Faes?
Following the completion of the international break, the press have been discussing the national side with the EUROs looming.
The Foxes man has been of interest to national press who went with the headline: “Wout is not quite there.”
Considering the clean sheet record paired with good performances for his club, this seems unwarranted.
They focused on slight mistakes made by Faes in their most recent games saying: “Faes has not left a reassuring impression.”
It appears that Tedesco has faith in the centre back and ever since his appointment has played him in every match.
Despite this, the press aren’t so sure: “What is the level of Faes?
“Does he have the level to be a leader in the national team?”
The defender has had a much more positive season than he did last campaign and will hope to prove some doubters wrong.
