Leicester City dropped points for only the second time all season against Leeds United last Friday, but they shouldn’t be concerned.
Leicester City looked as though they were untouchable in the Championship recently, up until last Friday when Daniel Farke and his Leeds side halted the Foxes.
It probably won’t affect the outcome of this campaign much for Enzo Maresca‘s side, but it does show they are beatable. Despite that, they still are on track to be the best side that the Championship has ever seen.
Leicester have now been told that this loss should give them no worries about normality to return next time out, according to EFL pundit Sam Parkin.

Leicester have nothing to worry about
Speaking on this week’s edition of the What The EFL?! podcast, Parkin was discussing Leicester City’s loss.
“From a Leicester perspective, they’ve got the depth, they’ve got the quality in the attacking positions to change from game to game. I go back and I harp on about Reading way back when a lot, but that’s what is so different about this Leicester team if they’re going to emulate what Reading were able to do with 106 points because you don’t know what the team’s going to be in essence.
“They’ve got so many good players in the squad, he’ll be able to change it and he’ll be able to tinker with the system, so I’m sure they’ll probably approach some of the other big games in the division slightly differently. Nothing to concern me here though.”
One thing that’s for sure is that Leicester will need to improve to avoid one loss becoming two.
Too strong a squad to struggle for long
Maresca has so many quality options in every position that it’s very unlikely that this loss will see another occur. He can change things up so much while keeping such a high-quality level that it should be back to wins this weekend.
No other club in the league boasts the options he has, he really has nothing to worry about. A loss is normal and even with that loss Leicester are still on track to break every record in the book.
We do expect that he will change it up however next time he faces one of the division’s better sides, that being against Middlesbrough this weekend or West Brom on December 2nd.
