Steve Cooper saw his Leicester City side squander a huge opportunity to secure their first Premier League win of the season against Everton on Saturday.
Instead, it was a case of salvaging a draw for Leicester City after falling behind to a 12th-minute Iliman Ndiaye goal before eventually equalising through Stephy Mavididi late on.
Steve Cooper will have been left very concerned by what he saw from his players at home against the side who started the weekend bottom of the table without a point as his Leicester side mustered just two shots on target across the 90 minutes.
The game was played in awful conditions and had the feel of an early relegation six-pointer but Leicester did not look prepared for the battle that took place at the King Power.

James Justin says Leicester City weren’t ‘ready’ for Everton
Despite it being so early in the season, Cooper will be starting to get a little twitchy about his position as Leicester manager.
Given his association with rivals Nottingham Forest, it was always going to be difficult for Cooper to win over the Leicester faithful and the ongoing search for a first league win has not helped with that.

With that in mind, James Justin‘s latest comments have done Cooper no favours as he told the BBC Sounds When You’re Smiling podcast: “We weren’t really at it. Everyone, nobody in particular.
“I feel like we weren’t really ready for the fight they were going to give us and we got hurt early on. We did well to get back into the game but it was a bit naive from us to be honest.”
Leicester City must be up for difficult Arsenal fixture

This is a worrying admission from Justin as it would seem inconceivable to Leicester fans that their team would not be prepared to fight in such a huge fixture.
You could argue this says as much about the players as it does Cooper, but either way they must be ready for Arsenal this weekend or things could get very messy.
Arsenal will again be title challengers this season and a trip to the Emirates is about as tough as it could get for Leicester as they look to add to their three points so far this campaign.
Justin and co. must find a battling spirit from somewhere as Arsenal have the capacity to do real damage should Leicester not be on their game from the first minute in North London.
