Ruud van Nistelrooy will be desperate to avoid defeat when his Leicester City side host Manchester City.
The Dutchman got off to a superb start when he became Leicester City manager, seeing off West Ham United by three goals to one.
However, after a 2-2 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion, reality has begun to set in for Ruud van Nistelrooy.
The Foxes were beaten 4-0 by Newcastle United in his third game in the dugout before losing 3-0 to relegation rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers,
Most recently, Leicester lost 3-1 to Liverpool at Anfield, keeping their dismal Boxing Day record going for another year.
The relegation-threatened side must now face another English giant in Manchester City on Sunday and could set an unwanted record in the game.

Ruud van Nistelrooy could match unwanted Leicester City record vs Manchester City
The reigning Premier League champions have been pretty poor by their usually high standards in 2024/25.
Pep Guardiola’s men sit seventh in the league table ahead of Sunday’s action getting underway with just one win in five.
However, Manchester City still have 30 goals in 18 games and are more than capable of turning over a team like Leicester.
Should Van Nistelrooy’s men suffer a defeat similar to the ones they have experienced recently, they will match a rather unwanted record.
Leicester have not lost four consecutive matches while conceding multiple goals in each game since 2003 – a record they will match if Man City beat them and score more than once on December 29th.

What Ruud van Nistelrooy has said about Manchester City
While the Sky Blues have been off their game, they will still fancy their chances of scoring multiple goals against Leicester.
Van Nistelrooy’s team, after shipping 10 in three matches, now have the joint-worst defense in the Premier League along with Wolves.

And when speaking ahead of the game, as per BBC Sport, the Leicester boss was quick not to underestimate Man City.
He said: “I know the quality of that squad, that team, that manager.
“I’m focusing on that. We have to prepare for a great performance on our side. Being where we are, we need to be spot on in all the parts of football to get a result.”
