The four players that could now be sold by Leicester City in January

Leicester City could be set for a seriously active January, as they look to tweak the side ahead of promotion, here’s four potential outgoings.

Leicester City have been the runaway Championship leaders all season, however, they will be aware that they still have a squad to perfect.

Several aren’t good enough while others are being tipped with moves all across Europe right now.

With promotion the likeliest outcome this season for the Foxes, we imagine that shipping out those not good enough is a move in advance of a Premier League return.

Due to this, Jordan Blackwell, a journalist from Leicestershire Live has given his view on who we can expect to depart Enzo Maresca‘s side this summer.

Which four players could Leicester sell?

Writing on Leicestershire Live, Blackwell named four players that he thinks could leave Leicester in January, at the very least.

He wrote: “I’d expect four players to leave at the very least if they can find clubs – Ward, Iversen, Souttar and Daka.”

He then continued to add that there may also be names who leave on loan this January, “There may be more that leave on loan too, maybe Marcal and Nelson.”

These names mentioned have barely featured if at all this season for the Foxes under Enzo Maresca so we expect that they could be the first out the door.

Do they all deserve to go?

The four names mentioned as potentially being out the door are all names which we think should be sold.

Danny Ward won’t be taking Mads Hermansen’s spot any time soon, and neither will Daniel Iversen who is the other goalkeeping option.

Harry Souttar at centre-half is another who probably doesn’t have a future here, given how well his competition are performing.

Lastly, Patson Daka clearly isn’t in favour with Maresca who has rotated between Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho all season thus far.
