Leicester City welcome Brentford to the King Power Stadium on Friday evening.

The Foxes are in desperate need of three points having plummeted into the bottom three after a torrid run.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side have won just one of their last 11 games in the Premier League, so they quite simply can’t continue that vein of form, otherwise, the writing’s on the wall.

Leicester did produce a respectable performance against Arsenal last time out, but a couple of defensive lapses cost them.

With all that said, ahead of Friday’s clash at the King Power stadium, Paul Merson has just predicted the score.

Paul Merson predicts Leicester City vs Brentford

Writing in his weekly Sportskeeda column, Paul Merson has just given his thoughts on the Leicester vs Brentford clash.

“This is a must win game for Leicester,” Merson wrote.

“They haven’t scored a goal in each of their last five home games in the Premier League! The funny thing is that they often look good while going forward but they can’t find the back of the net. Eventually, they run out of ideas and the confidence just goes away, allowing their opponents to take control.

“This is the wrong time for Leicester to play Brentford at their own backyard. Few weeks ago, Brentford were struggling to secure a win on the road.

“But now they have three straight wins away from home. I always say that it’s all about timing in football and the fact that Brentford are on a good run makes them favourites here.

“Leicester are in serious trouble if they lose again and I don’t expect this game to be kind on them.”

Merson has predicted Brentford to win 2-0 on Leicester’s patch.

Leicester should gamble with Jeremy Monga

Leicester have failed to score in their last five home games, so quite clearly, something needs to change in attack.

Bobby De Cordova Reid and Jordan Ayew don’t provide enough of a threat on the flanks, so perhaps it’s time for Van Nistelrooy to take a gamble on Jeremy Monga.

Monga is widely regarded as one of the best teenagers on the planet and is close to making his senior debut after being named on the bench against Manchester United earlier this month.

Manchester City and Chelsea are interested in signing Monga, which amplifies just how big of a talent he is.

The 15-year-old wide player has been ripping it up for the 21s and appears ready to make an impact against Brentford tomorrow.
