Ruud van Nistelrooy has hinted when he will be prepared to give young star Jake Evans his senior Leicester City debut.
Evans is considered as Jamie Vardy’s long-term replacement by the Foxes and is one of the Leicester academy’s biggest talents.
Van Nistelrooy has included Evans and Jeremy Monga in Leicester squads this season and are both training with the first-team.
Monga was on the bench for the FA Cup defeat against Manchester United but Evans is yet to be named as a substitute.
Asked about when the striker will be given his chance, the Leicester boss revealed when fans can expect him.

Ruud van Nistelrooy to ‘be careful’ with Jake Evans
Leicester fans are clinging onto anything remotely positive at the King Power Stadium right now and Evans seems to be that player in question.
Evans has matched Ethan Nwaneri’s Premier League 2 record with nine goals in 11 games and whilst Van Nistelrooy has promised that he will use the forward if he feels he can offer more than the current options, but will air on the side of caution after revealing he is nursing a slight injury.
“We have to be careful with our talents,” Van Nistelrooy claimed.
“Realistically, it’s very simple. When they’re ready and good enough and better than what we have, they’re going to have to play, because it’s the best for the football club.
“For Jake now, he’s adjusting to training with the first team, making very valuable minutes in the Under-21s. He’s picked up a little injury now so we need to look after him.
“Let’s hope he keeps developing and can train a lot more with us. But we have to also be careful. Little injuries like he has now, we have to assess him, we hope it’s not much. He’s a great prospect for the future and hopefully the near, near future.”
Leicester City could make unwanted history against Brentford
The Foxes are in a dire run of form and have lost nine of their last 10 Premier League games.
Defeat against Arsenal means that Leicester matched a miserable record by becoming the second team in the history of the Premier League to go five home games without scoring and subsequently losing.
As a result, should Leicester lose against Brentford without finding the back of the net on Friday night, they will become the first team in history to lose six home games in a row without scoring.
It will be the latest in a long line of disappointments for the Foxes as the relegation dogfight continues.
