Leicester City are in a perilous position.

The Foxes have lost seven games on the bounce in the Premier League, which has seen them drop into the bottom three.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side sit two points adrift from safety and fans have begun to turn on the former Manchester United interim.

Leicester supporters booed his decision to substitute Bilal El Khannouss on the weekend and there’s also been some disgruntlement about Facundo Buonanotte’s lack of involvement.

The Argentina international was a regular under Steve Cooper and was Leicester’s only bright spark in the first half of the decision.

But Buonanotte has found himself on the bench since van Nistelrooy’s appointment and now it’s just emerged that the pair had a bust-up on the weekend.

Ruud van Nistelrooy singled out Facundo Buonanotte in heated rant

According to the Daily Mail, Van Nistelrooy was involved in a ‘heated exchange’ with his players after the 2-0 defeat to Fulham on Saturday.

Facundo Buonanotte was reportedly on the receiving end of his furious rant and players were surprised the Brighton loanee was singled out.

Buonanottewas subbed on in the 71st minute but failed to make much of an impact, though, at that point City had lost control of the midfield.

There was also tension in the dressing room following the defeat to Crystal Palace in the previous game and that sparked senior players to have a meeting with the rest of the squad.

Van Nistelrooy has a major problem to address

One of the reasons Cooper was sacked was because of the disconnect between the players and now Van Nistelrooy appears to be facing a similar problem.

The Leicester boss has a major problem to address as he can’t allow friction and tension to form, which it seems it’s heading towards at the moment.

The only way to ensure he maintains the backing of the dressing room is quite simply to win. Winning creates a harmonious atmosphere at any level, so that needs to be the focus.

However, the fixtures don’t get any easier.
