Leicester City have plenty of bright talents coming through the ranks, but none excite as much as Jeremy Monga does.
Monga, 15, is the best Leicester academy talent to come through in years, already conquering the Under 18s and Under 23s with consummate ease.
As well as with the Foxes, Monga has also impressed with England’s youth teams, captaining and scoring for them on several ocassions.
It’s no surprise to hear Monga is wanted by Europe’s giants but there is hope among Leicester supporters that they can tie him down to a long-term contract and convince him to stay at the King Power Stadium.
When can Jeremy Monga sign a pro contract with Leicester?
Due to FA rules, Monga is unfortunately unable to sign a professional contract until he turns 17.
In the winger’s case, the 15-year-old will have to wait until July 2026 at the very earliest to be handed a full-time contract.

Currently, Monga has to balance his education alongside his football career and usually trains with Leicester’s first team after Ruud van Nistelrooy invited him to train with the senior players.
He’s yet to make an appearance for the first XI but was one of two youngsters on the bench against Manchester United in the FA Cup.
Other clubs could still snap up Jeremy Monga
Even though Monga isn’t able to sign a pro contract with the Foxes until he’s 17, there is still the fear that he may be poached elsewhere.
A report from the Daily Mail has claimed that Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are all keeping tabs on the winger’s situation.
Due to his age, Monga would have to write to Leicester before June this summer to inform the club of his desire to move. Furthermore, a fee would have to be settled via tribunal.
