After a much-needed international break following a dismal run of form, Leicester City have one of the biggest tests in the Premier League to welcome them back to action.

Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men travel to the north west to face Manchester City as the Foxes attempt to pull of a miracle in order to survive.

With nine games to go, Leicester are nine points adrift of safety but have a horrible run of fixtures to come.

Man City have been by no means brilliant but are always a force to be reckoned with and are challenging for a top four spot. Things haven’t gone to plan for them on the pitch, and it seems it’s not going much better off it either.

Man City fans planning to boycott first nine minutes of Leicester fixture

There is every chance that come kick off, Leicester’s away fans may be the only ones inside the Eithad Stadium.

Supporters of Man City are being encouraged to stay away from the stands for the first nine minutes of the game as an act of protest about the reselling of tickets.

Earlier this week, the Premier League champions signed a deal with resale platform Viagogo over hospitality tickets.

The club already has partnership with eight other ticket resale platforms and there’s concerns that sites like this mean tickets can fall into the wrong hand or be sold at heavily inflated prices.

As a mark of protest, Man City fans are being urged to stay away from the stands until the ninth minute.

Leicester fans know a thing or two about protesting

News of a protest is something that’s all too familiar for those affiliated to the Foxes.

Director of football Jon Rudkin has been the reason behind several Leicester protests this season and the trend doesn’t seem to be stopping.

On the 14th minute of recent home games, sections of the crowd inside the King Power Stadium have been heard chanting ‘We want Rudkin out’, with supporters blaming him for the club’s misfortunes.

This time though, it seems like it’s going to be another club protesting.
