Leicester City are still licking the wounds from their latest loss last weekend.

The Foxes were beaten by West Ham United in alarming fashion as Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side barely laid a glove on the hosts.

Some Leicester fans turned on Van Nistelrooy once again and called for him to be sacked, with the Blues still five points off safety with only 11 league games remaining.

While they await the visit to Chelsea this Sunday, where Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has promised not to celebrate if he scores against his boyhood club, other areas of the club are still ticking along.

Leicester’s youngsters impressed without Jeremy Monga and are showing all the minerals to suggest that they could have a first team role to play sooner rather than later.

With that, here is the latest Leicester City News today.

Trialist wanted by 27 clubs impresses Leicester City

There are plenty of first-team problems on the pitch at Leicester but that hasn’t stopped the hunt for the next generation of talent.

Monga, Jake Evans and Louis Page are among some of the names seemingly destined for a place in the Leicester first team, but trialist Riley Carr is impressing after joining from non-league outfit Hertford Town.

Carr is a 16-year-old who was released by Stevenage but has featured in two of Leicester’s U18 games, grabbing a goal and assist in a 2-2 draw against Norwich City and played in the 4-2 win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

His manager Ben Heard is impressed by the young winger and has even claimed that 27 clubs are interested in him.

Leicester are desperate to keep hold of all of their best players- no matter what league they’re in – but they will face a battle.

Bilal El Khannouss could be one tipped to go elsewhere but Mads Hermansen is the most likely to depart.

Enzo Maresca was interested in Hermansen last summer but he remained in the East Midlands, however, after impressing in the top flight, now looks set to go in the summer.

Rumours have suggested that Chelsea will be his destination at the end of the season, but that hasn’t stopped him from being linked with other members of the so-called ‘big six’ such as Manchester United across social media.
