It’ll be another emotional return this weekend as Leicester City make the trip to Chelsea where former star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could be a part of the action.
Dewsbury-Hall joined Chelsea in the summer after helping his boyhood club return to the Premier League.
But, despite linking up with Enzo Maresca once again, the Leicester academy graduate star’s time in west London has been difficult to say the least.
This season has largely been one of the midfielder sitting on the bench with the odd cameo in the league, but being given game time in the Conference League.
Despite that, the local lad could line up against the Foxes on Sunday after being brought on during Chelsea’s 3-1 win back in November.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall won’t celebrate if he scores against Leicester
Playing against a former club is something almost every player is going to have to experience at some point.
During his visit in November, Dewsbury-Hall was serenaded by Leicester fans and there is clearly a lot of love there, with many Foxes supporters pining for Dewsbury-Hall to return.
He didn’t score in the last meeting between the two teams, but after joining his new side in July 2024, the 26-year-old confirmed that he wouldn’t celebrate if he was to get his name on the scoresheet.
“If I score against them I won’t celebrate,” he revealed to Leicestershire Live.
“I wish them the best of luck for this season. I wanted to test myself at the next level. This felt like the right time and I wouldn’t have left Leicester for a sideways move – it had to be a top move.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall may not be at Chelsea next summer
As we alluded to previously, the move to Stamford Bridge hasn’t been an overly successful one for Dewsbury-Hall.
The Chelsea star has only started one league game this season and made 19 appearances in all competitions.
There was speculation suggesting that Dewsbury-Hall could return to Leicester in January and it seems like a summer exit is also viable.
In the end he stayed in west London but Maresca hinted back in December that he could be moved on.
Speaking after Chelsea’s win against Shamrock Rovers, he said: “Unfortunately, I cannot say that (he is definitely going to stay), not about Kiernan, about all the squad, because when the transfer window is open, unfortunately, anything can happen.”
