Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall looks like he will be one of the players heading for the exit door at Chelsea, less than a year after leaving Leicester City.

Dewsbury-Hall joined Chelsea for £30m in the summer but has found life at Stamford Bridge hard to adjust to.

The Leicester academy graduate has played just 55 minutes of Premier League football this season and failed to even make the squad in the past four games.

It’s a move that’s turned sour and somebody of Dewsbury-Hall’s quality certainly doesn’t deserve to be wasting away in the reserves.

Leicester have been linked with Dewsbury-Hall numerous times over the course of the window but it looks like the 26-year-old could be heading elsewhere.

West Ham transfer news: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall linked as Hammers target new midfielder

West Ham United, like Leicester, are also struggling in the top flight this season.

Julen Lopetegui is under pressure and is looking to bolster his squad with reinforcements.

A midfielder is West Ham’s priority and according to The Telegraph, Dewsbury-Hall is of interest to the Hammers.

This could change depending on the situation of Lopetegui, with Graham Potter reportedly in talks with West Ham.

He could be joined by Evan Ferguson, who some Leicester fans want to join, but that depends on whether or not Brighton & Hove Albion are willing to loan out the Republic of Ireland international.

Leicester City should avoid signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

The idea of a homegrown hero returning to their boyhood club is always a romantic storyline but, in this case, a return to the King Power Stadium for Dewsbury-Hall shouldn’t be on the cards.

There’s no doubting the midfielder’s qualities but given the amount of players already stockpiled in that position, it isn’t a move that makes any logic.

Hamza Choudhury is wanted by Sheffield United and could free up a spot in that sense, but there are more pressing positions for Leicester to address.

A centre-back is the Foxes’ number one priority whilst a full-back, winger and striker will also be high up on the list.

Ruud van Nistelrooy also allegedly wants to sign a back-up goalkeeper for Leicester in a decision that will surprise many.
