Leicester City have had some impressive youth players emerge from the academy in recent years, these three could be next.
Harvey Barnes, Luke Thomas and James Justin are just a few of the talents to emerge from Leicester City‘s academy in recent years.
Now in the Championship though, it is as good a chance as any for some current academy players to force their way into the team.
Enzo Maresca is believed to be open to the idea and as fixtures pile up, there are a few young players we think could make the difference.
So here are the three young players that should be in the first team…

Tom Cannon
Tom Cannon is already in and around the first team but with Kelechi Iheanacho potentially on the way out along with Patson Daka, he could soon be relied upon heavily.
Signed from Everton in the summer, Leicester beat out a host of interested clubs for his signature which should indicate they’re confident that he is a big talent.
Cannon would be an excellent understudy and eventual successor to Jamie Vardy in the number nine slot at the King Power.
Will Alves
Will Alves is a midfielder who Maresca is said to be excited about. The 18-year-old has been training with the first team recently which could indicate that he is near a first-team involvement.
Alves has only recently recovered from a lengthy 10-month layoff due to an ACL injury which means it is unlikely he’ll be rushed back.
Maresca has already indicated that Alves has a huge chance of featuring as he lauded the midfielder saying: “For sure, we’ve had him for a couple of sessions and we can see that he looks like he has something important, something special.”
Sammy Braybrooke
Another midfielder, Sammy Braybrooke is a player Maresca is said to see as a perfect Harry Winks replacement long-term.
Braybrooke just a few weeks ago was seen getting individual training by a coach, according to journalist Jordan Blackwell.
The talented midfielder is technically great and could easily make the step up to first team football.
