Leicester City will clash with Chelsea in a Premier League meeting at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, March 9th.
Leicester City are looking to put an end to their horrific run of form when they travel to West London this weekend.
After a dire display against West Ham United last time out, the Foxes are now on a run of 11 defeats from 12 in the Premier League.
It’s going to take something of a mircale at this stage for Leicester to avoid the drop and if they are going to overtake Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League table, they need to start at least picking up draws.
The Foxes are predicted to lose to Chelsea by one former player and in truth, it is hard to see Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men getting anything out of the clash with the fifth-place side.
However, there has been some good news heading into the game that could boost Leicester’s chances of causing an upset.

Ruud van Nistelrooy must start forgotten Leicester City man vs Chelsea
Given the lack of signings made in the January transfer window, there isn’t an awful lot Ruud can do with his squad to change things up.
However, speaking to the media on Friday, Van Nistelrooy gave a Leicester injury update and there were two big boosts.
The Foxes have no fresh injury concerns, while Woyo Coulibaly is fit after missing the West Ham United defeat last week.
More importantly, however, after picking up an injury in November 2024, Ricardo Pereira is finally available for selection once more.
Leicester fans were pleased at Pereira returning to training last month, and it’s easy to see why.
The 31-year-old played a key role in the Foxes’ promotion-winning campaign of 2023/24, scoring three and assisting three in 39 outings.
However, he was benched under Steve Cooper, and the limited chances he was given prior to picking up an injury amounted to a total of just 148 league minutes.
In his absence this term, however, James Justin has been woeful at right-back but now the Portuguese star is back fit, he must come straight back into the eleven.

Ricardo Pereira will solve major Leicester City problem
Coulibaly could, of course, be an option as well after his return, but the defender’s experience in England is very limited, and Leicester are in serious need of that right now given their situation.
Currently, the Midlands outfit have the second-worst defensive record in the Premier League, with only Southampton shipping more.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 17 | 27 | 6 | 4 | 17 | 37 | 56 | -19 | 22 | |
| 18 | 27 | 3 | 8 | 16 | 26 | 57 | -31 | 17 | |
| 19 | 27 | 4 | 5 | 18 | 25 | 61 | -36 | 17 | |
| 20 | 27 | 2 | 3 | 22 | 19 | 65 | -46 | 9 |
While not all their goals have come down the right, Justin has been a target for a number of teams this season, including Manchester United on two separate occasions.
However, given Pereira is a more defensively sound option, his return should hopefully stop Leicester from leaking so many goals down one side of their backline.
