Leicester City fell to an embarrassing 4-1 loss away at Brentford on Saturday.
The Foxes played for the first time since sacking Steve Cooper last weekend following a run of four wins in 14 games.
Ruud van Nistelrooy was appointed as the new Leicester manager on Friday but wasn’t ready to take control in the dugout.
Facundo Buonanotte had given the away side the lead but a defensive capitulation led to the hosts going into the break 3-1 up.
Kevin Schade made it four in the second half to complete his hat trick as many of the Leicester away end called for John Rudkin to be sacked.
Van Nistelrooy watched the Leicester side from the stands, as did I, and here are three things I believe he learned from the heavy defeat.

Stop Leicester conceding goals from the right hand side
One of the biggest criticisms from Leicester fans is the performances of Wout Faes and James Justin.
The duo have been near ever-presents in the starting XI and formed part of a back five in west London.
Unfortunately it was a similar story as they played a part in some of the goals conceded as the Foxes succumbed to a heavy defeat.
Some Leicester supporters have noticed that the right-hand side has been a common theme when it comes to goals conceded and Van Nistelrooy must identify that as an area to improve, either in the transfer market or on the training ground.

Bring back belief to the Leicester side
Buonanotte’s opener in the first half looked as if it would be the catalyst to inspire Leicester to an away win.
Instead of it being a springboard to move up a gear, it was a moment that the Foxes failed to capitalise on, choosing to capitulate instead.
The manner in which the four goals were conceded was a big concern for Van Nistelrooy watching on. All four could’ve been defended better, but each goal seemed to sap the life out of everyone associated to Leicester.
With every minute that passed by, Brentford looked more and more capable of adding to the scoresheet, all whilst Leicester barely laid a glove on them.
One thing that Van Nistelrooy hasn’t been used to throughout his career is losing and he must bring back some belief to this Leicester side that they are good enough if they want to stay up in this relegation battle.

Ruud van Nistelrooy must recruit in the January transfer window
Leicester were busy in the summer transfer window, signing nine players in total, but they must add to the squad.
One of the biggest surprises in Saturday’s team news was to see Luke Thomas start ahead of Victor Kristiansen, however, it amplified the lack of depth present at the King Power Stadium.
Thomas was by no means the biggest problem, but his lack of game time was a cause for concern from fans inside the ground.
Financial restrictions may mean it’s tough for the Foxes to recruit in January but Van Nistelrooy could look to former club PSV to sign targets, or even Manchester United.
What is evident is that his side will need new additions to bolster the strength in depth in the squad and provide the firepower required to keep Leicester up.
Reports suggested that the Foxes wanted to sign players in three positions, however, they may need more than that judging off today’s display.
