Leicester City return to action on Saturday afternoon as they take on Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.
Leicester picked up a crucial 1-0 win against Bournemouth just before the international break, lifting the pressure off Steve Cooper somewhat.
Though, we understand if his side lose to Southampton, Cooper’s future at Leicester will be far from secure.
So with that said, it almost feels like a must-win game for the Foxes and here are the predicted line-ups ahead of the crunch clash.
Leicester City injury news vs Southampton
On the injury front, Leicester are set to be without Patson Daka who continues his recovery from ankle surgery.
Back-up goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk also remains sidelined with an ankle injury as does Hamza Choudhury, who’s nursing a shoulder issue.
This fixture could also come too soon for Facundo Buonanotte, who is expected to arrive back from Argentina duty later on this week.
Leicester predicted XI vs Southampton
Mads Hermansen is set to take his usual spot between the sticks with an unchanged back four ahead of him in James Justin, Wout Faes, Caleb Okoli and Viktor Kristiansen.
Supporters have been urging Cooper to start Ricardo Pereira, who was arguably City’s best player last season, but it’ll likely be another game on the bench for the 31-year-old.
Stepping into midfield, Wilfred Ndidi partners Oliver Skipp in the pivot – with Harry Winks starting his second consecutive game on the sidelines.
The front line is where change is expected as Bilal El Khannouss replaces Buananotte whilst Abdul Fatawu starts on the right in place of Jordan Ayew.
Fatawu netted a hat-trick the last time these two sides faced each other, so surely Cooper will recognise that and hand the jet-heeled winger a start.
Stephy Mavididi retains his place on the left with Jamie Vardy leading the line, as ever.
