Leicester City have a rich history of producing players from their prestigious academy.
Gary Lineker is a notable example whilst Harvey Barnes and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are more recent ones.
Leicester handed a debut to Chris Popov earlier this season after his impressive performances with the under-21s but there’s now another striker who’s emerging through the ranks and making a lot of noise.
In fact, he could genuinely replace Jamie Vardy one day – that’s how highly rated he is.

Josh King could one day replace Jamie Vardy at Leicester City
Josh King is emerging through Leicester’s youth ranks and is garnering a lot of hype among supporters.
King, who celebrated his 17th birthday in March, has stepped up to the under-21s set-up this season after a prolific spell with the 18s.
In just three outings, the centre-forward has already netted twice despite playing an age group above and Leicestershire Live journalist Josh Holland has labelled him a ‘serious talent’.
King has represented Scotland’s under-16s at youth level but has now switched his allegiance to the Czech Republic.
Leicester keen to give Josh King more under-21 minutes
Speaking to Leicester’s official website, under-21s boss Leon McSweeney described King as a ‘hotshot’ and said he’s keen to give him more minutes for the reserve side.
“In front of goal he’s a hotshot and we want to maximise that as much as we can, give him as much exposure to 21s football because he can do that on a regular basis,” McSweeney said.
“It’s important to get him minutes, and when he responds like that, it’s only going to get him more time on the pitch.”
Perhaps a first-team debut isn’t too far away, especially if Odsonne Edouard fails to make an impression in the opportunities he’s handed.
