Leicester City travel to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night and one player must take his golden chance to impress Steve Cooper.
Cooper would have been preparing his Leicester City side for the tactics deployed by Erik ten Hag at Man United but now the Dutchman has been sacked – and likely replaced by Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim – his plans would have been thrown in the air.
Nonetheless, the Leicester City boss is expected to make wholesale changes to the side that lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest, perhaps resting key players Facundo Buonanotte, Harry Winks and Jamie Vardy.
It could mean that one underperforming Foxes star has to take a golden chance to impress his manager when they visit Old Trafford.

Odsonne Edouard must take Leicester City chance vs Man United
Leicester City are currently regretting their decision to sign forward Odsonne Edouard on a season-long loan from Crystal Palace.
The Frenchman was presumably signed to offer solid competition for Vardy, who turns 38 at the start of next year.

However, the Englishman continues to show why he’s one of the greatest goalscorers in Premier League history, having scored four goals in nine top-flight appearances this term.
Edouard, on the other hand, has only started once in the league, with his other four appearances in the competition coming from the bench.
Despite arriving with the hope of recapturing his excellent scoring form, the 26-year-old has struggled to leave his mark, with Edouard even facing criticism for his display against Walsall in the Carabao Cup.
The former Celtic forward could be one of several changes made to Cooper’s starting XI against United, and he must take his chance to impress, otherwise, it’s difficult to see where he fits in moving forward.
The other Leicester players looking to take their chance
Edouard is the main candidate who will need to showcase his attacking qualities at Old Trafford and he isn’t the only one vying for a starting spot.
Joining him in looking to make an impression is centre-back Conor Coady, who started in the previous two rounds, and could replace Wout Faes in defence.
The Englishman has only played seven minutes in the top flight this term and with Jannik Vestergaard returning from injury, the pressure is on him to flourish – if he starts on Wednesday.
Other than Coady, winger Kasey McAteer, Bobby De Cordova Reid, Oliver Skipp and Bilal El Khannous, to name a few, will all be hoping to make the starting XI.
