As Newcastle United made it 3-0 in the 35th minute, Ruud van Nistelrooy could only shake his head as he watched his side fold under pressure. Again.
Van Nistelerooy has looked like that in pretty much every Leicester City game since their last taste of victory on 26 January.
The Foxes set an EFL record by losing eight home games in a row without scoring and it seems that the Championship is calling, with relegation likely to be confirmed in the next few weeks.
During this whole process, Van Nistelrooy has remained committed to staying on as Leicester manager, however, things don’t look as certain.

Ruud van Nistelrooy refuses to commit to Leicester City manager role
Seven points from 19 games is a sackable offence in most cases but with the Foxes unable to afford another managerial sacking, it seems that Van Nistelrooy will have to walk away.
In the past, the Dutchman has hinted that he was in it for the long haul but when quizzed on whether he would remain at the King Power Stadium, for the first time, his answer was different.
“I want the club to do well. The club is first and that is something to consider,” he told Match of the Day.
“It is hard because I came to the club to help it forward, but it is clear there haven’t been enough results to get points on the board and that’s not good enough.”
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record as Leicester City manager
Following the appointment of Van Nistelrooy in November, there was plenty of excitement given his incredible record as PSV Eindhoven boss.
His arrival in the East Midlands coincided with a 22-game unbeaten run and unfortunately, after the first two games, that soon came to an end.

The Foxes have gotten worse and worse under the Dutchman and from his 19 games, they have only won three of them. One of those was an FA Cup win against Queens Park Rangers.
As bad as Steve Cooper was, it was never as bad as this.
