Steve Cooper oversaw a busy first summer as Leicester City manager as he looked to get his squad ready to compete in the Premier League.
The early blow of losing star man Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as he followed Enzo Maresca – the manager Steve Cooper replaced – to Chelsea feels like a long time ago now.
Leicester City hope that the £30 million they got for Dewsbury-Hall was enough to see the club avoid a PSR breach, especially as the Foxes have since loosened the purestrings.
In total, nine players signed for Leicester this summer, with Oliver Skipp and Bilal El Khannouss the most expensive duo at £20 million and £21 million respectively.
Those two players aside, Leicester signed Michael Golding, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Caleb Okoli, Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu permanently, whilst Facundo Buonanotte and Odsonne Edouard both joined on loan for the season.
The transfer window may be closed but Cooper still has one space left in his 25-man squad and could explore the free agent market in order to fill that gap.
With that in mind, here are seven free agents Leicester could still sign this summer.
Steve Cooper could consider these seven free agents to complete Leicester City squad

Joel Matip
The first player Cooper should consider is 33-year-old centre-back Joel Matip.
The Cameroonian has been without a club since leaving Liverpool upon the end of his contract in June, where he won the Champions League and Premier League in eight years at Anfield.
Matip has had his fair share of injury problems over the years, but if Leicester could manage his game time and keep him fit then he would be a really astute signing both for on the pitch and in the dressing room.
Willian
Another experienced pro looking for a club is 36-year-old former Chelsea winger Willian.
Having earned 70 caps for Brazil across his career, Willian is a player of real quality who proved in the past two seasons at Fulham that he can still be a difference-maker in the Premier League.
With Cooper not fancying Stephy Mavididi, Willian could be the perfect solution on the left wing on a one-year deal, although his wages could be a problem.

Andre Gomes

Cooper has a solid foundation of Harry Winks, Oliver Skipp and Wilfred Ndidi, but he could perhaps do with a little more guile in centre midfield.
One player who could provide that is former Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes.
Most recently at Everton, Gomes would bring experience with 100 Premier League games under his belt and at 31 still has plenty to offer on the pitch.
Alex Telles
Cooper has so far opted to play Victor Kristiansen at left-back after the Dane spent last season on loan at Bologna, with James Justin playing at right-back.
This has been surprising given it has meant Ricardo Pereira has had to settle for a spot on the bench, however injury to any one of those three players could leave Leicester light at full-back.
One option to resolve this issue is former Manchester United left-back Alex Telles, who has spent the last two years playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Al-Nassr.
If Leicester are to move for Telles they may have to act quickly, though, as talk of a move to Botafogo in his homeland gather momentum.
Robert Skov

Denmark international Robert Skov represents a player worth considering for Cooper.
A winger who can also play full-back, Skov is yet to find a new club having left Hoffenheim this summer and at 28 is a good age too.
Skov scored three and assisted a further five in the Bundesliga last season and could add real quality to the Leicester ranks for no fee.
Yusuf Yazici
Perhaps the most intriguing name on this list, 45-cap Turkey international Yusuf Yazici is available this summer having left Lille at the end of his contract.
Famous for scoring the first hat-trick AC Milan conceded at home since Rivaldo achieved the same feat in 2000, Yazici is an enigmatic attacking midfielder who can also play wide or as a centre-forward.
The 27-year-old scored 12 goals and provided four assists in all competitions for Lille last season and has also spent time at Trabzonspor and CSKA Moscow.
Yazici may be destined for bigger things with his next move, but perhaps Leicester could tempt him with the opportunity to showcase his talents on the Premier League.
