Leicester City may be forced to make a change in the dugout before the 2024/25 season comes to a close.
Leicester City’s problems are widespread, with poor recruitment and mismanagement from Jon Rudkin over several years now costing them deeply.
After losing to Brentford on Friday evening, the Foxes remain 19th in the Premier League table and could end the weekend five points from safety.
On paper, there is time to turn things around, but Leicester’s recent run under Ruud van Nistelrooy suggests that won’t happen, especially given their upcoming fixture schedule.

After a 10th loss in 11, Van Nistelrooy’s Leicester future has been called into question by supporters.
Now, if he does end up being sacked or walking out, we have picked out three players who would benefit most from a change of manager.

Facundo Buonanotte
The story of Facundo Buonanotte at Leicester is a peculiar one. He’s gone from one of their best players to a fringe option under Ruud.
The Argentine has been in from the off in just three league fixtures following the change of manager in December, much to the confusion of fans.
Buonanotte earned praise for his efforts when he came on against Brentford this week but for whatever reason, Van Nistelrooy continues to select two underperforming, slower, less creative options on either flank ahead of him.
Should a new manager arrive this season, it seems obvious the Brighton and Hove Albion loanee, who is valued at £48m, will quickly cement himself as a regular starter once more.
Stephy Mavididi
Stephy Mavididi is in a very similar situation to Buonanotte under Van Nistelrooy.
Jordan Ayew and Bobby De Cordova-Reid have done very little to deserve their continued inclusion in the eleven.
But while he’s not perfect, Mavididi offers a more direct attacking threat and is actually able to create chances using his pace and quick feet.
However, he has not completed 90 minutes in the Premier League since January 15th versus Crystal Palace.

Michael Golding
If a new manager does arrive, they obviously won’t have a transfer window to improve the squad.
In turn, they will have to look to fringe stars and youth players to try and salvage the campaign.
On that front, Michael Golding may be given a rare chance following his move from Chelsea in the summer.
The Foxes paid £4m for the midfielder but he is yet to make a single appearance at senior level.
