Leicester City are interested in 20-year-old attacker Brian Aguirre from Newell’s Old Boys as their search for a winger continues.
Reported in Argentinian media, it appears that Leicester are the ‘club from England’ looking at him.
The links to the winger come as he scored in a 2-0 win over Central Cordoba, although there is not yet rumours of an official bid.
Who is Brian Aguirre?
At 20-years old he has spent his senior career at Old Boys where he has made 42 appearances across three years.
In that time he has scored three and assisted five.
A versatile forward, he is able to play left or right wing, or upfront when needed.
He has impressed sufficiently to be called up to the Argentina national side’s under 20s, making nine appearances so far.
Should Leicester sign Brian Aguirre?
A very stereotypical South American, youthful winger. He loves to get on the ball, dribble and show off his quick feet.
He likes to shoot from range despite not being the best finisher, such is his lower goal tally.
As he gets older and develops, it is likely that these skills will get better.
He would be a different direction for the Foxes to go in, exploring the South American market.
The strange element of this signing is that he is young, inexperienced and very raw.

The idea of a more experienced winger who has found his feet and has confidence in his ability, would make more sense.
