Leicester City are set to allow one of their brightest talents to go out on loan in a bid to get some invaluable first-team football.

As we enter the final week of the transfer window, Steve Cooper is keen to get as much business done as possible.

Reports have suggested that Cooper wants to bring in a striker and a number 10 to the King Power Stadium while youngsters such as Kasey McAteer, Ben Nelson, and Will Alves may be allowed to leave on loan.

They’re not the only ones who could be departing Leicester City before the end of the week however, with another youngster set to head out on loan.

Dundee set to sign Leicester City youngster on loan

According to Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph, Scottish Premiership side Dundee have agreed a deal with the Foxes to sign Sammy Braybrooke.

The 20-year-old, who has returned from a long-term injury, is highly rated by the club and is seen as someone with potential for the future.

Capped at England youth level, Braybrooke has made one senior appearance for Leicester, coming against Newport County in the Carabao Cup back in 2022.

Leicester City heading into crucial week for the club

This week could very much define if Leicester end the season as a Premier League club or a Championship side.

There is likely to be lots of movement at the King Power Stadium before the 30 August deadline as Cooper desperately tries to bolster his attacking reinforcements, while holding onto key assets.

Santiago Gimenez is a striker that perfectly fits the mould of what the Foxes are looking for up front but Feyenoord’s asking price is likely to prove to be a stumbling block.

Bilal El Khannouss meanwhile is seemingly pushing for a move to the East Midlands but his current club Genk has rejected three offers from Leicester.

In terms of outgoings, Tom Cannon is of interest to several Championship clubs and is expected to leave while reports earlier in the week claimed that Wout Faes may be considering an exit due to frustrations about playing on the left hand side of defence.

Should Cooper get the players he wants and needs, Leicester has a real fighting chance of staying in the league but if not, it could be a very long season.
