Manchester City agree deal to sign ‘quality’ wonderkid who Leicester City wanted

Leicester City are in desperate need of reinforcements this January transfer window.

The Foxes reside in 19th, two points from safety, and have lost seven on the bounce in the Premier League.

That’s put Ruud van Nistelrooy under major pressure among the Leicester faithful, who were really critical of his decision to substitute Bilal El Khanouss on the weekend.

Boos rang around the King Power as the Morrocan went off partnered by chants of ‘you don’t know what you’re doing.’

Clearly, the Dutchman needs urgent help this month if he is to steer the ship away from relegation, though, Leicester are now city to lose out on one of their centre-back targets as he agrees to join Manchester City.

Man City agree deal to sign Leicester target Juma Bah

Last month, it emerged that Leicester were keeping tabs on the ‘quality’ Real Valladolid centre-back Juma Bah after his impressive breakout season in La Liga.

The 18-year-old wonderkid is considered one of the most promising defenders in Spain and City were keen on adding him to van Nistelrooy’s ranks.

But according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are on the verge of signing Bah and could immediately ship him out on loan to RC Lens.

The lure of the Premier League champions has proved too much for The Foxes and now they’ll have to find an alternate target.

Leicester could turn to Thomas Kristensen

Leicester have also been keeping an eye on Thomas Kristensen, who is attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur, too.

It was reported earlier this month that The Foxes were leading the race to sign the Udinese defender, but those rumours have since gone quiet.

Perhaps now that the Bah deal is off, Leicester will go back in for the Denmark international, who is valued at around £13m.

A telling couple of weeks lie ahead in the East Midlands.
