Steve Cooper is keen to secure a deal that would see Galatasary attacker Wilfried Zaha spend the season on loan at Leicester City.
Leicester City have made five signings this summer, with Abdul Fatawu’s return secured as well as new arrivals in Michael Golding, Caleb Okoli and Bobby De Cordova-Reid.
Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte is the latest arrival, with Steve Cooper welcoming the attacking midfielder on loan.
A striker also appears to be imminent, with Leicester close to wrapping up a deal for Bayer Leverkusen centre-forward Adam Hlozek after initially bidding for Fotis Ioannidis of Panathinaikos.
Cooper is keen to continue to strengthen his attacking options and that has seen Leicester pushing to get a deal for Wilfried Zaha over the line in recent days.

Wilfried Zaha potential move to Leicester City gets surprise Nico Williams support
Zaha only signed for Turkish giants Galatasary last summer following the end of his Crystal Palace contract, but is already angling for a return to England.
That has seen Leicester pounce, with a £7 million loan fee offered to Galatasary on the condition that the Turkish side pay Zaha’s wages.
A deal has been thrown into doubt due to the amount of tax Zaha would be forced to pay if he is to return to England, but all parties remain hopeful this will prove an issue that can be resolved.
One person who is surpassingly backing Zaha’s move to Leicester this summer is recent Euros winner and Arsenal and Barcelona transfer target Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao.
It has been noticed that the winger who seemingly has no link to either Zaha or Leicester reposted a Tik Tok of Zaha’s highlight reel that had the caption: “Leicester is actually signing this monster.”
Zaha will provide much needed spark at Leicester

Williams’ backing of Zaha’s transfer appears very random, but both players are skilful wingers who could just appreciate each other’s talents.
One thing is for certain, though, and that is that Leicester would really benefit from getting a deal for Zaha over the line.

The 31-year-old scored a decent enough ten goals and provided five assists for Galatasary last season but has shown on countless occasions for Crystal Palace that he is at his best when he is entrusted with the creative burden in a side.
With his ability to cover multiple forward positions as well as undoubted talents, Cooper will be desperate for Zaha to arrive as soon as possible.
