Leicester City look to be finally active in the transfer market this month after over a week of sitting on their hands.

Foxes fans will be desperate for their club to make signings during the 2025 winter transfer window.

Leicester City have the joint-second worst defence in the Premier League this season and are now currently sat 19th in the relegation zone ahead of league football returning next week.

Ruud van Nistelrooy issued a transfer update during his pre-Queens Park Rangers press conference earlier this week.

In it, he said the process was ongoing but the Foxes now look to be closing in on their first signing of the winter.

Woyo Coulibaly Leicester City transfer fee

Gianluca Di Marzio broke the news on Friday evening that Leicester are set to sign Woyo Coulibaly.

The full-back is currently plying his trade in the Serie A with Parma but his contract is due to expire in June 2025.

He has made 88 appearances for Parma, scoring one goal and providing six assists but is now set to leave for Leicester.

No details of a transfer fee or contract length were given by Di Marzio at the time but a new update has emerged via Nicolo Schira, who reports the player will cost €3m and pen terms that keep him at the King Power Stadium for four years.

Who is incoming Leicester City signing Woyo Coulibaly

Born in Gonesse, France, the 25-year-old began his playing career with Le Havre.

Coulibaly made 40 appearances for their senior team, in which he provided one assist.

The defender joined Parma in August 2021 for a fee of around £1m and has shown his versatility since his arrival.

He is a natural right-back but has operated with great success on the left of a back-four while also having spells as a right-side wing-back.
