When Woyo Coulibaly can actually make his Leicester City debut after completing £3m transfer

Leicester City confirmed the signing of Woyo Coulibaly on Wednesday evening, just ahead of their clash against Crystal Palace.

Coulibaly has joined the Foxes in a £3m switch from Parma and he was in attendance during City’s 2-0 defeat to Palace.

Despite a positive first-half showing from Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side, the second period saw the visitors take more control and ultimately they took their chances.

That leaves Leicester resigned to 19th in the Premier League table, two points adrift from safety ahead of their home clash against Fulham.

Van Nistelrooy will be desperate to end the six-game losing streak in the league and could make a couple of tweaks to the side, with Coulibaly now through the door.

Woyo Coulibaly could make debut vs Fulham

Coulibaly was unavailable for last night’s game but he will be available for selection on Saturday afternoon, as Leicester play host to Fulham at the King Power Stadium.

The jet-heeled right-back looks set to be a fixture of the first team over the next few years, with a deal penned until 2029.

The Le Harve academy graduate will compete with James Justin for a place in van Nistelrooy’s side and according to the data, he’ll bring a lot more attacking threat.

So with City bereft of pace and endeavour down the right, Coulibaly should be thrown straight in against the Cottagers.

Coulibaly’s stats vs James Justin

Coulibaly and Justin are set to battle for a starting spot for the remainder of the season, so let’s see how their statistics compare.

Evidently, Coulibaly trumps Justin in every metric, so statistically, he’d be an upgrade on the former Luton defender.

Coulibaly is a much more progressive player, so his inclusion in the side would help to solve Leicester’s goalscoring woes.

City have netted just twice in their last six league games.
