The wait for Leicester City to announce their first signing of the January transfer window is finally over as Woyo Coulibaly was unveiled on Wednesday night.
Leicester City announced the signing of Woyo Coulibaly ahead of their home clash against Crystal Palace, adding a huge reason for supporters to feel excited.
Coulibaly spoke of his dream to join Leicester and play Premier League football instantly after signing, with the 25-year-old joining from Serie A side Parma.
The Frenchman spent two and a half years at his former club and this term, produced some fine form with two assists in 14 appearances.
Now, Ruud van Nistelrooy can feel excited about his new arrival who has signed a long-term contract at the King Power Stadium.

Woyo Coulibaly contract details emerge after Leicester City transfer confirmed
Van Nistelrooy saw signing a right-back as a priority in this window, providing some strong competition for James Justin, who has often been criticised this term.
The Foxes are working on a tight budget in January and Coulibaly’s £3m transfer could prove to be an inspired piece of business.
Leicester managed to fend off competition from other Italian sides to land his signature, and it has now been confirmed that Coulibaly has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract at his new club, keeping him at the King Power till 2029.
Although it may have taken just over two weeks to announce their first signing, supporters will hope it’s the beginning of a successful window.
The Premier League strugglers still need to target multiple positions, including centre-back, winger and a new striker to potentially pull themselves away from danger.

What Leicester fans can expect from Coulibaly
Full-back has been a massive problem all season for Leicester but the arrival of Coulibaly will add some much-needed strength to their backline.
Known for his explosive pace and tenacious tackling, along with an ability to contribute to attack, the powerful right-back has continued progressing at a fast rate in Italy since making the switch from Le Havre.
Coulibaly’s stocky frame and sheer power will be invaluable to van Nistelrooy, whose current full-backs, namely Justin and Victor Kristiansen, have struggled with the physicality in some games.
Indeed, supporters will be hoping that Coulibaly’s presence will help shore up one of the league’s worst defences and help towards their survival push.
