Chris Sutton predicts Leicester vs West Ham
There is plenty of excitement surrounding Van Nistelrooy’s appointment from Leicester fans but according to Sutton, the fun won’t last long.
Writing in his BBC column, Sutton said he can only foresee a West Ham win.
“Both teams were beaten heavily at the weekend and this feels like a massive game for West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui, who is back under scrutiny again after such a big defeat at home to Arsenal,” said the pundit.
“What might help him here is how bad Leicester are defensively. This is Ruud van Nistelrooy’s first game in charge of the Foxes so you would expect the King Power Stadium to be rocking, but that won’t help them keep the Hammers out.
“I am not convinced by West Ham in any way, shape or form at the moment but they have attacking players who can hurt Leicester, and that will get them the win Lopetegui needs.”

Ruud van Nistelrooy reveals what left him ‘astonished’ after becoming Leicester manager
Van Nistelrooy appeared to be on Leicester’s radar from the very moment the Foxes sacked Steve Cooper.
The Dutchman recently left Manchester United after Ruben Amorim’s appointment and during his inaugural press conference on Monday, the new Leicester boss admitted that he was blown away by the interest he received from other clubs.

He said: “To be fair, what happened after the games (with United), the amount of interest that all of a sudden was there for me and the options that came along, I was astonished by it. It was four games.
“I have to say there were offers there and possibilities. It’s good to have them, and look and be critical on where you’re going to work. I went into conversations with Leicester because I thought, having spoken to other people, I felt it was a great opportunity to get to know each other.
“It was a good feeling, and in the end both parties felt it. That was a good reason to start working together.”
