Leicester City make the trip to the capital to face Premier League high-flyers Arsenal on Saturday.
The Foxes are yet to win a Premier League game this season and had to come from behind to draw against Everton.
Defender James Justin admitted that the players “weren’t really at it” in a damning assessment and Steve Cooper’s side will need to be much better if they want to beat Arsenal.
Last season’s runners-up Arsenal conceded a last-minute goal against title rivals Manchester City but will be the favourites at the Emirates Stadium this weekend.
In the 34 top-flight meetings between the two, there has been plenty of overlap between the two clubs, with several names featuring for the Foxes and the Gunners.
With that, let’s look at five players who have played for Leicester and Arsenal over the years.

Alan Smith
Now the voice of Sky Sports, Alan Smith made his name in the professional game at Leicester City.
Joining from non-league side Alverchurch, Smith formed an incredible partnership with Gary Lineker in his first season at the club, scoring 13 goals in the 1982/83 season.
During his five years at the club, Smith scored 84 goals in 217 appearances before being sold to Arsenal following Leicester’s relegation to the second tier.
Arsenal loaned Smith back to the Foxes and on his return to the Gunners, struggled in his first few months.
His second season saw him win the first-division Golden Boot with 23 goals from 36 league games as George Graham’s side would win the league.
In his eight years at Highbury, Smith scored 115 goals and was ranked 27th in the club’s 50 greatest players of all time.
Martin Keown

Martin Keown became an Arsenal legend for his exceptional defending across two separate spells.
His most notable came during his second stint, which saw him play a part in the famous invincibles season in the 2003/04 campaign, where they secured the league title against the Foxes.
Keown then joined Leicester in the summer of 2004 after being released but would only spend six months at the club.
During that brief spell, the defender played 17 times in the Championship before leaving to join Reading in January 2005.
He then retired at the end of the 2004/05 season and was often seen working as a pundit on the BBC and TNT Sports.
Igansi Miquel

Ignasi Miquel may not be a name that is familiar to everyone, having never been a regular member of Arsenal and Leicester.
Miquel joined Arsenal at the age of 16 but only made five appearances for the first team but in a bid to be given exposure to senior football, was sent on loan to the Foxes for the 2013/14 season.
The Spanish defender failed to make a huge impact, making his debut in a 5-2 win against Carlisle United in the League Cup.
His only goal came against Fulham in October 2013 in the League Cup but he failed to dislodge the centre-back pairing of Wes Morgan and Liam Moore and played 12 times in all competitions as Leicester won the Championship.
Stephy Mavididi

A current member of the Leicester first-team, Stephy Mavididi started his career out at Arsenal.
Mavididi came through the youth academy at the Gunners but never made a senior appearance. Several loan moves away before permanent spells at Juventus and Montpellier helped Mavididi to establish himself.
He then became one of Enzo Maresca’s first signings of the 2023/24 season and played a crucial role as the Foxes secured promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
The winger has started the Premier League season strongly and has scored two goals against Crystal Palace and Everton.
Paul Dickov

Paul Dickov is another Leicester star who started his career at Arsenal but made his name at the Foxes.
Dickov joined the Gunners’ youth side and made his senior debut in March 1993 and scored against Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Scotland international had two spells at Leicester, his first coming between 2002 and 2004.
Leicester were relegated in his first year at the club before scoring 20 goals in his first full year at the club as the Foxes immediately returned to the top flight.
A further 13 goals followed the next season before joining Blackburn Rovers after declining a contract extension offer.
He then returned to the then-named Walkers Stadium in 2008.
His role wasn’t as significant as his first spell as he scored two goals in 20 games to help Leicester become League One champions.
