Leicester City return to Premier League action in midweek as Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men host Crystal Palace.

Leicester were 6-2 victors over QPR in the FA Cup on Saturday, in what proved to be a welcomed distraction from the league where they’d lost five matches in a row.

Upon returning to top-flight fixtures, Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side find themselves 19th in the table, two points adrift of safety.

Their opponents, on the other hand, are seven points above the Foxes in 15th but have only collected four victories in 20 matches this term.

Leicester haven’t tasted a league win under van Nistelrooy since beating West Ham at the start of December, and that narrative must change, perhaps starting against Crystal Palace.

So, with that, here is everything you need to know ahead of Leicester’s clash against the Eagles.

Leicester team news and injury latest

Leicester have multiple injury concerns ahead of their clash against Crystal Palace, with van Nistelrooy sharing the latest in his pre-match press conference.

Mads Hermansen, Abdul Fatawu, Wilfred Ndidi and Ricardo Pereira are all still long-term absentees and remain unavailable.

The Dutchman, however, did provide a positive update on centre-back Jannik Vestergaard, who could be in contention to start against Palace.

Vestergaard was taken off in the 2-1 loss against Aston Villa with an injury but the 32-year-old’s return to action would be a big boost.
