Jon Rudkin sent clear message by Leicester City faithful as Fulham hand Van Nistelrooy another loss

Leicester City once again lost when they faced off with Fulham in a Premier League meeting on Saturday.

To say 2024/25 is not going well for the Foxes would be putting it very kindly.

Leicester City decided to sack Steve Cooper in November on the back of two wins, four draws, and six defeats in the Premier League.

Since Ruud van Nistelrooy has taken over though, their form has only gotten worse.

Yes, they have had some tough fixtures recently, but there’s no excusing the defeat to Crystal Palace in midweek and now Saturday.

Leicester lost 2-0 to Fulham on the day thanks to goals from Emile Smith Rowe and Adama Traore.

Leicester City fans send message to Jon Rudkin vs Fulham

It was an all-round poor display from the Midlands outfit, barring perhaps a brief spell in the opening 10 minutes.

Harry Winks continues to be subpar at the base of midfield, defensive weakness remains and Jamie Vardy offered little attacking threat.

Those in attendance at the King Power Stadium, meanwhile, opted to direct their ire at another man.

Leicester fans slammed Jon Rudkin earlier this season during the 4-1 defeat to Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.

And the Foxes’ faithful were once again in full voice on Saturday, being videoed chanting ‘We want Rudkin out’.

It’s not just Rudkin who supporters voiced their anger at during the defeat to Marco Silva’s side, however.

Leicester fans were heard chanting at Van Nistelrooy against Fulham, with ‘You don’t know what you’re doing,’ bellowing around the King Power when the manager made some changes.

A meeting with Tottenham Hotspur is up next, which will almost certainly end in defeat.

And if Leicester lose their following fixture to Everton on February 1st, Ruud’s position will surely be called into question.
